Step 1 · Your application

Where is my residency right now?

Enter the day you filed at Migraciones. Every later date is calculated from it, using the processing times in our process guide.

Temporary residency granted –
Permanent residency filed –
Permanent residency granted –

Only the filing date is needed. The other dates are calculated from it using the timings in our process guide, and update as soon as you change it.

Waiting for a date

Enter the day you filed at Migraciones to see your timeline. Haven't filed yet? Enter the date you plan to; the tracker works as a planner too.

Step 2 · Days outside Paraguay

Am I within the one-year absence limit?

As a temporary resident, more than 1 year in a row outside Paraguay without justification is grounds for cancelling your residency (Ley 6984/2022, Art. 55). Migraciones checks your Movimiento Migratorio entry/exit record, and reminded residents of this rule in April 2026. If you need to be away longer, ask for authorisation before you reach the limit.

Still abroad? Leave "Came back" empty and the trip counts up to today. Only days between your temporary card date and your permanent filing count.

    About these numbers

How accurate are the estimated dates?

Migraciones publishes no official processing times, so the ranges come from what was reported in 2026: about 3–4 months for temporary residency and 3–6 months for permanent. The two dates that are fixed by the rules are the permanent filing window (the last 3 months of your temporary card) and the Investor Pass CIE (a maximum of 5 business days). Replace estimates with real dates as they happen.

    How are days abroad counted?

Each trip counts the calendar days from the day you left to the day you came back. Only the time between your temporary card and your permanent filing counts, so trips before or after that window are trimmed. Your official Movimiento Migratorio record is what Migraciones uses; a Constancia de Movimiento Migratorio costs Gs. 234,154 and can be requested online if your dates are close to the limit.

    Is my information stored anywhere?

    Is this legal advice?

No. It's an informational planning tool based on Ley 6984/2022, Decreto 6225/2026 (fees), Res. DNM 407/2026 and Res. MIC 283/2026. If your dates are tight or something doesn't match, contact us and we'll review your actual file.

    Dates looking tight?

Get your timeline reviewed before it costs you.

Write your dates in the contact form and we'll check your track, your documents' validity and your days abroad. The tracker itself never sends them.
